100th post and other stuff

First, I would like to note that this is my 100th post! I know that isn't all that significant, but it's the first big milestone for me!

Second, I'm sure you've been wondering (or maybe you haven't!) where I've been. Well, first my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and her husband were visiting, then we had a week off where I babysat two full days and then normally the rest of the week. Then my best friend from home came to visit! She just went back to the airport today, but life is still not back to normal quite yet. I'm hoping things will calm down by the end of the month. At least I should have time now to blog a bit more. I hope!

Also, we added another family member! A furry family member, that is...

Miss Clarabelle was a foster kitty while she recovered from a bad upper respiratory infection. She was really sick for a while, and a little grouchy, but once she started feeling better she really started enjoying being in a nice house instead of the cage we were keeping her in at Petco. Now, it's important to note that we do keep these cages very clean and sanitary, but I just couldn't bring her back! So now she's ours.

Unfortunately, I seem to have broken (or maybe it just died of old age?) the digital camera I was using. We have another one somewhere in the house, but it's not nearly as nice as the one I was using, plus I can't find it. Therefore, we are stuck, for the moment, with nothing to take pictures! This is very frustrating to me, since I was just getting used to using the camera and Picasa to edit my pictures, and really enjoying it! I've been perusing Craigslist, but it's just not a high enough priority at the moment with so many other things to take care of. This happened recently, so I'm still pretty bummed about it.

I think that's about all that's been going on in my life, and why things have been very quiet here on the blog-front. I'm hoping to get better soon, and back to menu planning and food waste posts, but in the meantime bear with me!
