So, I recently signed up for Ebates, which is a pretty cool site I'm sure a lot of people have heard about. What's that? You don't know what I'm talking about??
Well, Ebates (and yes, if you sign up through clicking that link, I get a referral bonus. If you don't want to give me a bonus, just go to www.ebates.com and sign up all on your own!) is a pretty awesome website that gives you cash back on purchases you make online. Who knew? I make a lot of online purchases because, well, I'm lazy, and this is perfect for me! As long as I remember that it's there...
The other day I scored an awesome bedding set (a bed in a bag, actually, complete with sheets and bed skirt!) for $16! Yes, folks, I do know how to bargain shop. No need to be jealous. I found it on the JC Penny website on clearance for $35 (before shipping), found an online code for $10 off at www.retailmenot.com (awesome site!) and used a $20 gift card we had leftover from the wedding. This made it just $16 after shipping! Which is awesome, especially considering it's for our guest bedroom and guest bed, so it's not something I wanted to spend a ton of money on.
Anyway, had I remembered that I have an Ebates account, I could have received 4% cash back! Which is really only about $1.50 (since I scored on my nice, clearance bedding!) but it's $1.50 more in my pocket! Oh well, hopefully next time I won't drop the ball.
Have you heard of Ebates??

I dropped the ball the other day...

I'm a 27 year old, newly married, newly living in Washington, librarian trying to find a job in a library. Meanwhile I'm working as a office assistant while I figure out how to live my new life as a wife.
Geoff, my wonderful, caring husband works with computers and, in his free time, plays with video games, lounges on the couch and cooks with sourdough.
Clarabelle and Hermione are our babies! Hermione, who came to Megg as a kitten, loves playing with fur mice and bottle caps. Clarabelle's hobbies include sleeping, lying in the sun and playing with straws.
Geoff and Megg met through a mutual friend and spent 4 years dating long distance. They were finally able to live in the same zipcode after what seemed like forever when they got married on January 2, 2010! Soon after they bought a house and have been enjoying the Pacific Northwest together while being both newlyweds and new homeowners!
