I'm linking up for the Valentine's Day Challenge! Today's topic is love weddings and, well, I LOVED mine! I wrote this on our anniversary a month ago :)
Two years ago today I was getting ready to marry the love of my life. It was a gorgeous, snowy afternoon, and it was perfect. (For us! Everyone's wedding day is perfect, because it's theirs!)
There were the perfect, unique touches that were both fun and us.
The cootie catcher programs.
The Harry Potter cake toppers. The cupcakes.
The button bouquets.
Our guestbook.
And the date. Which was a palindrome.
Interesting story about that. I was determined to get married on Jan. 1, New Year's Day. I thought that would be awesome, and I also thought it would be cheaper because it was a Friday. Turns out it would have been more expensive because it was a holiday and all the people (caterer, DJ, etc.) would need holiday pay. So I begrudgingly agreed on January 2, disappointed until my mom pointed out that it's a palindrome! At which point I was thrilled, and embraced our date. But I digress.
And of course, there's the man.
The last two years have been amazing. Here's to many, many, many more.

I'm a 27 year old, newly married, newly living in Washington, librarian trying to find a job in a library. Meanwhile I'm working as a office assistant while I figure out how to live my new life as a wife.
Geoff, my wonderful, caring husband works with computers and, in his free time, plays with video games, lounges on the couch and cooks with sourdough.
Clarabelle and Hermione are our babies! Hermione, who came to Megg as a kitten, loves playing with fur mice and bottle caps. Clarabelle's hobbies include sleeping, lying in the sun and playing with straws.
Geoff and Megg met through a mutual friend and spent 4 years dating long distance. They were finally able to live in the same zipcode after what seemed like forever when they got married on January 2, 2010! Soon after they bought a house and have been enjoying the Pacific Northwest together while being both newlyweds and new homeowners!
